Chiliz successfully hosted the “Hacking Paris” mega-hackathon at the renowned Parc des Princes stadium, home to Paris Saint-Germain which brought together 236 developers from 16 countries. This marked the first time a Web3 hackathon was held inside an elite sports venue and showcased Chiliz’s commitment to fostering global innovation at the intersection of blockchain and sports.
Global Developer Engagement: The hackathon drew over 200 developers who submitted 89 Web3 projects focused on Fan Token utility, DeFi, and fan-driven monetization models, with $150,000 in prizes awarded.
Pathways to Incubation: The top 12 teams will receive development support and integration opportunities within Chiliz’s expansive network of 150+ sports and entertainment partners, while the second edition of the Includ3d Accelerator was launched to further advance social impact in sports via Web3.
Developers have the opportunity to build Fan Token utility apps and monetization tools for sports fans using Chiliz Chain’s EVM-compatible Layer-1. Participating in future Chiliz hackathons provides access to mentorship, visibility, and possible onboarding into Chiliz’s partner network.
For Entrepreneurs this was an opportunity to design sport-specific DeFi platforms such as micro-lending services for athletic development or decentralized fan investment pools. Partnering with clubs like PSG or Manchester City via the Chiliz ecosystem unlocks new ways to generate revenue while boosting fan engagement.
